Aug 09, 2010 (newstodate): The Serb carrier JAT and Airbus have reportedly reached an agreement on the long-standing issue of aircraft orders.
Sources say Airbus will deliver four Airbus A320 Family aircraft to JAT, while scrapping the order for eight Airbus A319 aircraft placed by the former Milosovic regime in 1998, but never delivered, while the company posted the 23 mio USD down-payment for them.
Since then the issue has been up for often heated negotiations between the two parties.
The two parties are expected to finalize the agreement in negotiations starting already in August.
