Aug 06, 2010 (newstodate): With next summer's flight schedule, Icelandair will strengthen its presence in the Scandinavian markets.
The carrier plans to offer three scheduled flights a week to Billund, Denmark, as well as two weekly flights to Gothenburg, Sweden, starting June 2011 through September 2011.
Icelandair is no stranger to either airport, though; charter flights between Reykjavik and Billund have been offered for many years, and Icelandair served Gothenburg on a regular basis till 2008.
The 2011 Icelandair schedule for the Nordic countries will include services to Copenhagen and Billund in Denmark, to Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden, to Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, and Trondheim in Norway, as well as Helsinki in Finland.
