Aug 26, 2010 (newstodate): Details have now been announced for the Iceland carrier Iceland Express' trans-Atlantic services from summer 2011.
Flights from Iceland to Chicago by Iceland Express will start from June 10, 2011, with a weekly service.
Flights from Iceland to Boston will be added from June 13, 2011, with four weekly rotations planned.
During this coming winter, Iceland Express will also operate a weekly service to Orlando through October, with one weekly service planned.
Services from Iceland to New York, launched on June 1, 2010 with four weekly rotations, will be expanded to a daily service from June 2011, and Iceland Express will also return with two weekly flights to Winnipeg, in Canada, from June 12, 2011.
The flight program of Iceland Express is operated in cooperation with Astraeus, using Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
