Aug 10, 2010 (newstodate): Still shrouded in much secrecy, a project group for generating more air traffic at Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport has surfaced as yet another "Gateway to Scandinavia".
While it remains so far unknown who is sponsoring the activity, at least the names of the people behind the project have now been published on a website still under construction.
Heading the GatewaytoScandinavia-project is Henrik Jacobsen, business controller at Q-park in Norway, while Martin Langaas is responsible for route development & market analysis, and Bjorn Leander is responsible for market & network relations.
Driving the project is the observation that the limited success by Oslo Gardermoen Airport in attracting airline operators, compared to the situation at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport and Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport, is a lack or resources as to market analysis and marketing efforts.
