Aug 09, 2010 (newstodate): After much delay, the Czech carrier CSA has now been cleared by the Kazakh authorities to introduce services to Astana, Kazakhstan.
Originally slated for launch from June 2010, services will now commence from the start of the coming winter schedule.
The route will be served twice weekly from Prague with Airbus A319 aircraft.
Since May 2008, CSA has served the route between Prague and Almaty, now offering three weekly rotations.
From the start, the Latvian cargo GSA provider AG Handling has served as cargo GSA for the CSA in the Kazakh market, as well as for airBaltic that opened flights to Almaty from Riga on April 17, 2008.
