Aug 25, 2010 (newstodate): Vodochody Airport, in the Czech Republic, is seeking operators among low-cost carriers.
Owned by Penta, a private equity group, the airport with a 2,500 m runway became a separate international airport company managed by Martin Kacur from the turn of this year after a history as a general aviation airport.
Several low-cost carriers including EasyJet, Wizz Air and Ryanair are reportedly in talks with the airport that will however need to construct a passenger terminal to cater to more intense traffic.
