Aug 02, 2010 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport continued its strong growth trend through July 2010, with a flat 30 percent increase in total volumes, compared to last year.
A total of 5,503 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, including 3,3032 tonnes of imports, up 56.9 percent, and 2,471 tonnes of exports, growing less dramatically at 7.4 percent.
In January-July 2010, the airport's total volumes have thus increased 34.9 percent, y-o-y, to 33,756 tonnes, with imports growing 63.5 percent to 18,714 tonnes, and exports up 10.8 percent to 15,041 tonnes.
This year's January-July volumes are the largest in five years, even beating volumes in 2007 that reached 33,609 tonnes.
