Aug 19, 2010 (newstodate): The Danish handling provider, Copenhagen Flight Services, owned by the Swedish Nordic Aero Group, has confirmed its return to Copenhagen Airport.
Copenhagen Flight Services has obtained a concession by the airport to provide full handling services, including de-icing at Copenhagen.
Until 2008, Nordic Aero was itself providing handling services at Copenhagen Airport, with now-defunct Sterling Airways as its launch customer, but went out of business in Denmark with the fall of that carrier.
While a start-up date has not yet been announced, sources say Copenhagen Flight Services plans to launch business in Copenhagen from the start of 2011.
The new provider might thus become the 4th handling agent at Copenhagen Airport if Aviapartner also decides to set up business as earlier indicated
This has however still not been confirmed by the company.
Existing handling services providers now at Copenhagen Airport are the SAS-owned SGS and Novia.
