Aug 26, 2010 (newstodate): Earlier on-line at Helsinki with freighter flights, Aeroflot Cargo is again back to belly capacity only.
-The freighters are really not that important for us here. Aeroflot has other gateways, and Frankfurt Hahn remains the most important, says Alexander Isaiev, Aeroflot Cargo Nordic & Baltic managing director at Helsinki.
-We have to admit that Finnair Cargo is very active in the market, and our prime asset for the freighter operation was the connection from Helsinki to destinations in the Far East via Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
-Still, we have plenty of belly cargo capacity on Aeroflot passenger aircraft from all Nordic capitals, and for heavier loads we truck into our base at Frankfurt Hahn, says Mr Isaiev.
The Aeroflot Cargo office in Helsinki is responsible for sales in the Nordic as well as the Baltic markets.
