July 02, 2010 (newstodate): SAS Cargo is happy with the airline's decision to increase its intercontinental flight program from the coming winter season.
SAS will operate daily services between Copenhagen and New York Newark, Chicago and Bangkok, and frequency will increase from five to six on the route between Stockholm and New York, and from three to four weekly flights from Copenhagen to Dubai.
To boost production the airline is to re-activate one more Airbus A340-300 aircraft, grounded from the start of the global financial crisis.
For SAS Cargo, the expansion means an increase of cargo capacity by some 700 tonnes per month, enabling the company to fight for a larger share of the airfreight markets.
