July 08, 2010 (newstodate): The Norwegian LCC and scheduled carrier Norwegian seems to be taking its preparations for launch of long-haul flights a step further.
Norwegian press reports that Norwegian will probably set up a new company dedicated to long-haul operations, aiming at opening flights to destinations including New York and Bangkok from next year's summer.
In the plans is reportedly also the acquisition of up to 15 wide-body aircraft within the coming four years.
Norwegian's plans have been circulating a long time already, and earlier reports called for launch of intercontinental services from this summer already.
