July 07, 2010 (newstodate): The EU Commission has published the latest version of its list of airlines banned from or restricted in operations within EU airports.
Among the news on the list is a further limitation of Iran Air's movements into EU.
From today, the carrier is only allowed to operate flights with 23 out of its fleet of 55 passenger and cargo aircraft, permitting flights by 14 Airbus A300 passenger and cargo aircraft, eight Airbus A310, and one Boeing 737.
Among the aircraft thus exempted from EU airports are the Boeing 747 aircraft so far used on flights to various European destinations.
