July 07, 2010 (newstodate): Effective from August 3, 2010, Estonian Air will increase frequency on its route between Tallinn and St Petersburg, Russia.
The carrier plans to add a fifth flight on the route from August 3, later adding a sixth weekly rotation from September 2, 2010.
All Estonian Air's flights to St Petersburg are code-shared with the Russian carrier Rossiya.
St Petersburg was long on the wishing-list of Estonian Air, but despite repeated applications, the Russian authorities still denied access to the until at last granting traffic rights with the first Estonian Air flight to St Petersburg on July 27, 2009, with SAAB 340 aircraft four times weekly.
