July 07, 2010 (newstodate): The Ukrainean state has sold Sevastopol Belbek International Airport to the private Ukrainean industrial group Privat.
Privat has won the right to manage and operate the airport under a 20-year concession, aiming at turning the former AFB into a modern commercial airport.
Commercial traffic was introduced at the airport in 2020, but today only Dneproavia provides flights to Kiev and Moscow.
The airport with a 3,007 m runway will need construction of a new passenger terminal and other pertinent infrastructure.
