Jun 22, 2010 (newstodate): A splendid cargo aircraft at the wrong time: this sums up the story of the world's first converted Combardier Q400 freighter that is now up for sale in Sweden.
-The aircraft is now standing on the ground. It is a perfect aircraft with unique characteristics - but it came at the absolutely worst period in time when the market was totally down, says Ulf Darenius, Nordflyg Air Logistics CEO.
-The market abounds with small freighters and there is no demand for the Q400 aircraft in this segment now. But it does have a splendid future, says Mr Darenius.
The ex-SAS Q400-PF Package Freighter aircraft was operated by now defunct carrier Nord-Flyg that went bankrupt in April, 2010.
