Jun 30, 2010 (newstodate): Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a new air services agreement to promote commercial flights between the two countries.
The new agreement ends a period since March 2009 when Saudi Arabia has been banning aircraft registered in Tajikistan from operating into its airports.
Under the new treaty, Tajik Air will be allowed to operate western-built aircraft to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam from any airport in Tajikistan, while Saudi Arabia obtained rights to operate into Dushanbee and Khudzhand.
