Jun 16, 2010 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport is to see the launch of new direct air services to Minsk, Belarus.
The Belarus carrier Belavia has announced the opening by August 3, 2010, of flights between Minsk and Stockholm.
The new route, the carrier's entry into the Scandinavian market, will be served three times weekly with Bombardier CRJ 100 or 200 aircraft, depending on booking figures.
From the same date, Belavia is also launching flights on a new route from Minsk to Tehran, to be served once weekly with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Belavia currently operates three CRJ aircraft, and plans to add a further two leased aircraft in 2010.
