Jun 29, 2010 (newstodate): The Russian company Volga-Dnepr has placed a firm order for a another IL-76TD-90VD freighter.
This will take the carrier's fleet to four units as the latest aircraft is delivered by late 2011 or early 2012.
Volga-Dnepr has earlier indicated that it will need up to 17 aircraft of this ramp loading type.
In contrast to the earlier version, the re-engined and upgraded version of the versatile classic IL-76 aircraft is free to operate with existing noise limits at all airport around the world.
