Jun 04, 2010 (newstodate): Romania's Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport has contracted the American provider JBT AeroTech to deliver and implement new gate equipment as part of its Phase III Development and Modernization Plan.
JBT AeroTech will deliver nine new Jetway passenger boarding bridges, 11 Jetpower ground power units and 11 JetAire pre-conditioned air units.
The airport already has five Jetway passenger boarding bridges within the terminal, and JBT AeroTech expects completing the installation of its portion of the project in the fourth quarter of 2010, prior to the terminal's scheduled completion in the first quarter of 2011.
The Phase III Development and Modernization Plan will lift the airport's annual handling capacity to six million passengers.
