Jun 24, 2010 (newstodate): Vietnam is to see the arrival of the third European carrier to offer scheduled services.
Newcomer will be the Polish carrier LOT that plans to launch flights on a new route from Warsaw to Hanoi from the start of the coming winter schedule.
LOT will operate the route with three weekly rotations, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
Already serving the Vietnamese market from Europe are Air France and Aeroflot.
Sources say new LOT destinations in the pipeline for the coming winter will also include Tbilisi, in Georgia, Cairo in Egypt, and Damascus, in Syria.
