Jun 21, 2010 (newstodate): Sky Srpska, the planned new national airline of Republika Srpska in Bosnia Herzegovina has signed a MoU with Star Alliance-member airline Adria Airways to cooperate on the launch of services from summer 2011.
The agreement, signed on June 16, 2010, calls for the Slovenian carrier Adria Airways to assist Sky Srpska in finalizing the technical and commercial setup of the airline, and to provide direct operational support to Sky Srpska facilitating a rapid opening and launch of commercial air services from Banja Luka International Airport.
The two airlines will also work towards building a long-term basis of cooperation and mutual partnership.
Sky Srpska has made several aborted attempts to launch services by this summer, but has yet to take delivery of its first Embraer aircraft, now expected to arrive by the end of this year.
