Jun 10, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian ground handling services provider North Hub Services has revised its time-table for expansion into neighbouring Baltic markets.
NHS will open its new handling company at Finland's Helsinki Vantaa Airport from July 1, 2010, as planned.
But the opening of handling services at Estonia's Tallinn Airport, originally set for June 1, 2010, has now been postponed till October 31, 2010.
-As deadlines drew closer we acknowledged that the time-frame was too tight, so instead we are moving the launch of operations in Estonia back a bit to allow for a more soft approach, says Janis Balkens, NHS CEO.
Next to come after Estonia is the opening of services by NHS in Lithuania, with a subsidiary to launch operations at Vilnius Airport from autumn 2011, while operations at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport are slated to start from summer 2012.
NHS launched services at Latvia's Riga Airport from the start of this year, and is owned by Baltic Aviation Systems and the Turkish handling company Havas.
