Jun 11, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is moving close to a decision on its future aircraft fleet.
-We will make a decision after summer, probably by August 2010, says Bertolt Flick, airBaltic President & CEO.
According to earlier reports by newstodate, airBaltic is in talks with Boeing and Airbus and will look for either Boeing 737NG or Airbus A320 Family aircraft to be delivered from 2013, replacing the existing fleet comprising eight Boeing 737-300 and 10 Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
While all aircraft in the carrier's fleet are today leased, in the future airBaltic will have a mix of leased and owned aircraft.
