Jun 14, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian cargo handling and GSA company AG Handling is expanding its presence in the Kazakh market.
Since 2008, AG Handling has been cargo GSA for the Czech carrier CSA operating from May 1, 2008, between Prague and Almaty, in Kazakhstan, as well as for airBaltic that opened flights from Riga from April 17, 2008.
CSA offers two weekly rotations on the route, increasing now to three weekly flights from summer 2010.
AG Handling also moved with CSA to Astana, where the carrier is to open flights to Prague from June 1, 2010.
For unknown reasons, the Kazakh authorities have however still not given the final go-ahead to the new route, leaving the new AG Handling GSA office on the sideline till flight permissions are finally obtained.
CSA has been AG Handling's GSA launch customer, and AG Handling is also present in the Belarus market since December 2009 as GSA for CSA.
