Jun 16, 2010 (newstodate): Doubts are rising over the Serb carrier JAT's ability to produce according to its summer time-table.
According to Serb media, the carrier can now operate only seven out of its total of 15 aircraft as most are grounded for technical reasons.
JAT, however, claims that 10 aircraft are in the air, and a further two will join as engines are returning to JAT by the end of this month after overhaul by Lufthansa Technik.
JAT's plights are however evident, and the Serb government has announced plans to set up a new carrier with crew and aircraft from the existing company that will go out of business, carrying the debt pile for future redemption.
