Jun 17, 2010 (newstodate): Two Central European carriers have signed up with MGM Global Air to provide cargo GSA services in the Indian market.
Both off-line in India, Air Armenia and Air Moldova are carrying especially Indian pharmaceuticals to markets in Europe with sales provided by the GSA that is also negotiating special SPA agreements with first carriers to lift the cargo on flights to connect with the two airlines' networks for onward carriage to the final destinations.
Air Armenia, a client with MGM Global Air since January 2010, operates flights with AN-12 aircraft between Yerevan and Frankfurt Hahn, and Air Moldova, a client with MGM Global Air since January 2009, operates flights from Chisinau to Frankfurt, Istanbul, Vienna and Moscow Domodedovo.
Behind MGM Global Air, based at Mumbai, is Gopal Krishan, director, with an extensive knowledge of the European airfreight markets from his earlier employment with SAS Cargo, later followed by a period with Austrian Airlines Cargo before setting up his own GSA company.
