Jun 07, 2010 (newstodate): Finnair has announced plans for a new service between Finland and Sweden.
Effective from August 18, Finnair will launch operations from Helsinki to Stockholm's city airport at Bromma, offering twice-daily flights on the routes using Embraer aircraft.
But in addition, Finnair's Danish one-world partner, Sun-Air will add twice-daily flights with Dornier 328 Jet aircraft on the same route, serving both point-to-point business travelers and feeding traffic into Finnair's Asian route network.
In addition to the Bromma route, Finnair flies 50 flights per week between Helsinki and Arlanda.
The aircraft operated by Sun-Air will also operate the carrier's existing route between Billund, Denmark, and Stockholm Bromma.
