May 07, 2010 (newstodate): The Icelandic company Trans-Atlantic has set up flights between Iceland and the Baltic region.
-We are now offering direct flights from Iceland to the Riga and Tallinn during the summer, and again in October 2010 to Riga both from Keflavik and Akureyri, says Omar Banine, Trans-Atlantic general manager.
-The flights are aiming at the Baltic communities in Iceland and will satisfy a demand in the market for convenient and direct connections.
Trans-Atlantic is chartering aircraft from Estonian Air to provide the flights to Tallinn, Estonia, while the Baltic provider SmartLynx, owned by the Icelandair Group, will operate the flights to Riga, Latvia.
