May 10, 2010 (newstodate): The future of the Sundt Atlanta Skybridge, offering flights between Norway and the US market, is on the agenda at an important meeting today, in Oslo, Norway.
The CEO of the carrier, Arild Jaabaek, last month told newstodate that flights would be re-introduced from mid-May after being suspended since March 17, 2010, but little has been heard in the market since then, and if flights will be resumed at all a further delay is to be expected, sources say.
Mr Jaabaek also told newstodate that "(the) service will be relaunched with a new combination of parties", probably indicating that flights may be reintroduced with aircraft from another carrier.
From December 5, 2009, Sundt Atlanta Skybridge was offering two weekly rotations with a Sundt Atlanta Icelandic Boeing 747-200F aircraft from Oslo to New York and Miami, returning to Oslo via Amsterdam, but services have been suspended since March 17, 2010, and the aircraft was deployed by its owner to other assignments.
