May 12, 2010 (newstodate): Macedonian carrier AirLift Service has been granted its operational certificate by the country's Civil Aviation Agency.
The carrier, based at Skopje, is owned by Skywings Macedonia, a subsidiary of the German tour operator Skywings.
AirLift Services operates scheduled services from Skopje to six destinations in Europe with one Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
After the recent collapse of the Macedonian carrier MAT, AirLift Services is currently the only scheduled carrier based in the country.
