May 14, 2010 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is growing strongly in the Finnish market.
In April, airBaltic saw the volume of Finnish passengers flying domestic routes in Finland and traveling via North Hub Riga to other destinations on the carrier's network up by 209 percent, to 24,654 passengers compared to 11,789 in April 2009.
In Finland, airBaltic offers flights to and from Helsinki, Oulu, Lappeenranta, Turku, Tampere, Vaasa, Kuusamo, Kuopio, and Rovaniemi.
As its latest route opening, airBaltic launched flights from Estonia's Tallinn to the Finnish city of Oulu on May 13, now offering two weekly rotations with Fokker 50 aircraft.
