May 18, 2010 (newstodate): The Turkish-French consortium Limak-Aeroport de Lyon has been declared the winner in the tender for a 20-year concession of Kosovo's Pristina International Airport.
The winning consortium will now sign a design-build-finance-operate-transfer agreement comprising management, operation, and maintenance of Prishtina International Airport and the financing, design, procurement and construction of a program for expansion of infrastructure.
The program entailing investment of more than 100 mio euro will comprise the building of a new 25,000 sq m terminal, new air traffic control facilities, a new apron, taxiways, a water treatment facility, and new parking areas.
