May 25, 2010 (newstodate): Finnair has signed a contract to lease two Embraer aircraft to Kenya Airways.
Starting from June 2010, the aircraft will be operated for the African carrier for a period of four years.
The value of the lease agreement is almost 20 million US dollars, and the leasing arrangements have been negotiated by the US-based Jetscape Inc.
The aircraft leased to Kenya Airways have been put up for sale, and two are are leased to Finncomm Airlines in Finland.
Finnair Aircraft Finance, responsible for administering the Finnair fleet, either owns or leases a total of ten Embraer 170 aircraft.
Finnair also operates ten 100-seater Embraer 190 aircraft.
