Apr 20, 2010 (newstodate): New in the Scandinavian markets is the Russian freighter carrier AirBridgeCargo, introducing twice-weekly Boeing 747-400F freighter services from Malmo Sturup Airport, in southernmost Sweden, to Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow.
Via Sheremetyevo, the carrier provides onward flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo.
In Sweden, ABC has appointed Sturup Aviation and Menzies Aviation as its ramp and cargo handling partners.
The route is mainly driven by exports from Norway of fresh salmon to the Far East, but capacity will also be sold in the markets of Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
Providing ABC Airlines with cargo GSA services are NordicGSA in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and Kales in Denmark.
