Apr 09, 2010 (newstodate): Kazakh carrier Air Astana has taken delivery of its sixth Fokker F50 aircraft.
The Fokker F50 will be deployed in Atyrau to provide feeder capacity from cities in the country's western region to international flights.
The entire Fokker 50 fleet will, however, be phased out gradually from 2011 as the carrier takes in its first two Embraer 190LR aircraft on a leasing arrangement with Jetscape.
The carrier has also placed orders for delivery of six Airbus A320 and and three Boeing 787 aircraft.
