Apr 21, 2010 (newstodate): Greenland's air transport is now also limited by the effect from the Icelandic volcano ash cloud.
As flights in Danish airspace is again allowed, Air Greenland will today be able to operate flights on the trans-Atlantic route between Kangerlussuaq/Sdr Stromfjord and Copenhagen, as well as flights between Kangerlussuaq and Thule Air Force Base.
But traffic has been grounded in the skies over southern Greenland, resulting in a stop to flights between Narsarsuaq and Copenhagen as well as Greenlandic domestic flights south of Kangerlussuaq.
