Apr 14, 2010 (newstodate): The Russian carrier AK Bars Aero, based in Tatarstan, is now operating its first Bombardier CRJ-200LR aircraft.
The aircraft landed at Kazan Airport early this month, and will be followed by a further four aircraft of this type.
The aircraft is acquired on a leasing contract and will primarily serve intra-Russian routes as well as routes to CIS countries.
AK Bars Aero, formerly named Bugulminsky Aviation Enterprise, was established in 1953 as is the fourth Russian carrier to opt for the CRJ-200 aircraft.
