Apr 29, 2010 (newstodate): As expected, Finnair Cargo is now launching own cargo services to destinations in the Far East.
Effective from May 12, 2010, the carrier will offer two weekly flights from Helsinki to Seoul and Hong Kong, respectively, using one owned converted MD-11 aircraft that was returned from service with Aeroflot-Cargo as this carrier folded its wings.
A second MD-11 aircraft remaining in Finnair's fleet will be converted to freighter version also after serving this summer season with charter flights.
