Apr 06, 2010 (newstodate): The Czech cargo handling company Skyport, Prague Ruzyne Airport's largest cargo terminal, is currently amidst a change of ownership.
So far no details about the new owner has been released, and an announcement will come only after the formal registration of the sale by the Czech authorities - a process expected to last for some time.
In the meantime, business will continue as usual, with customers including Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Cargolux, Korean Airlines, British Airways, China Airlines, Aeroflot, and Hainan Airlines.
As consequence of the change of ownership, Kamil Slavik has resigned as of April 1, 2010, from his position as Chairman of the board and Skyport CEO, and no successor has yet been named.
The cargo terminal was opened in 2004 by CSA Cargo and later acquired by Central European Handling a.s. in October 2007 and re-branded to Skyport, managed by Kamil Slavik.
