Apr 09, 2010 (newstodate): Air India may still be considering Copenhagen Airport as a viable alternative to Frankfurt Airport as its main European hub.
According to reports in Indian media, the new Air India Board met on Thursday to discuss the issue, with Dublin, Birmingham, Barcelona and Copenhagen as options as a base for Air India flights from India to the US.
Air India currently operates four daily flights from New Delhi and Mumbai to New York, Newark, Washington and Chicago.
The carrier has earlier decided to locate its European transit point at Frankfurt Airport, but has later found airport charges to be too high, and is now looking for an alternative.
