Mar 31, 2010 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport is looking forward to deepening its cooperation with the Latvian carrier airBaltic that is to set up a base in Tallinn from this summer.
The carrier is to reveal details of its plans at a press conference in connection with in connection with the launch today of flights on its new route between Tallinn, Estonia, and Tampere, Finland.
-The airport is welcoming any operator that brings in new flight opportunities and services to the country, says Erik Sakkov, Tallinn Airport board member and responsible for marketing.
-We maintain a single set of rules and rates in our dealings with airlines, and we are fully open to cooperate with any partner on this basis. Competition rules the market, and if competitors play on a level field it can only bring benefits to the customers, the traveling public of Estonia.
-We are certainly looking forward to learning more about airBaltic's plans, says Mr Sakkov.
