Mar 26, 2010 (newstodate): On March 28, the Latvian airline airBaltic will enter the summer season with over 100 routes in Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East, including a total of 34 new routes compared to the start of last summer's schedule.
The new routes comprise 11 new routes from Riga, 10 new routes for Finland, nine new routes for Lithuania, and four new routes for Estonia.
In the new program, airBaltic will increase flight frequency on 20 routes, and offer almost 200 average daily departures.
In 2010, airBaltic has so far announced eleven new destinations from Riga including Madrid, Belgrade, Vaasa, Umea, Beirut, Amman, Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Visby and Lulea.
Also announced to be launched from Riga this summer was Tehran, Iran, but this has since been annulled without any comments from the airline.
