Mar 24, 2010 (newstodate): Immediately following the news of Cathay Pacific's route opening to Moscow from July 13,2010, another Hong Kong carrier has announced a start of operations into Hong Kong from June, 2010, as well.
Hong Kong Airlines will launch flights between Hong Kong and Moscow - the airport yet unannounced - with four weekly rotations, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, while Cathay Pacific will operate three weekly rotations with Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
Hong Kong Airlines, set up in 2001, has placed orders for a total of 15 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with the first to be delivered shortly.
The order book also contains delivery of two A330-200F freighter aircraft.
