Mar 05, 2010 (newstodate): SAS is reportedly planning to re-open its route from Copenhagen Airport to Shanghai in 2010 or 2011.
According to an article in the Chinese paper CAACNEWS, SAS' general manager for China, Lars Olafsson, says the decision will hinge on the concrete development in the market, but SAS is seeing double-digit growth in the Chinese market for its route, operated daily, between Copenhagen and Beijing.
SAS first opened its route to Shanghai on March 28, 2004, but pulled out again from 2007.
According to the article, SAS will also consider the re-opening of the route from Stockholm to Beijing, operated from 2007 to 2009, when warranted by the demand in the market.
