Mar 26, 2010 (newstodate): Russian carrier Transaero Airlines is planning for major expansions of its route network in 2010.
In May the carrier will introduce four new routes, including regular flights from St Petersburg to Vladivostok from May 21, to Khabarovsk from May 22, to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from May 23, and to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from May 24.
Transaero will also add a new chapter to its history by opening direct flights from St Petersburg to destinations in Russia's Far East.
Also in the plans is the launch of flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Kostanay, Kazakhstan, in addition to existing flights to other Kazakh destinations Aktau, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Chimkent, Karaganda and Uralsk.
Effective from June 4, 2010, Transaero will also launch flights on its first-ever route between Moscow and Beijing. offering two weekly rotations with Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
