Mar 30, 2010 (newstodate): A recent fatal accident in the midst of the NMorwegian capital Oslo with cargo rail waggons has led politicians to reconsider the jet fuel supply logistics of Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
The airport is currently fed with jet fuel by rail, with a daily morning delivery by rail of 150,000 tonnes of jet fuel.
Instead, politicians are now considering the implementation of a fuel pipeline system to avoid the risk of a similar catastrophe with jet fuel on rail waggons through the capital area.
The project was earlier considered for the airport, but shelved for financial reasons.
