Mar 30, 2010(newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is regaining its breath this summer, seen on the background of last year's fatal decline in air services.
The Lithuanian airline Star1 Airlines is is launching a new route between Vilnius and Edinburgh, and in May, the company will start regular flights to Dublin and flights to Girona, Spain, will be resumed for the summer season.
The Latvian carrrier airBaltic is iontroducing flights on a new route from Vilnius to Hamburg, as well as flights from Vilnius to Dublin, London Gatwick, and Tallinn, and, beginning in May, to Oslo.
Other airlines, including SAS, Aerosvit, LOT, Lufthansa, Norwegian will up frequencies of existing flights, as will also airBaltic and Star1.
15 airlines now provide scheduled flights to 24 destinations from and to Vilnius.
