Mar 11, 2010 (newstodate): After a start in January 2010 with a decline by 12.2 percent in cargo volumes, Norway's Oslo Gardermoen returned to growth in February.
A total of 6,452 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport in February 2010 - an increase by 3.7 percent, y-o-y.
The positive growth was secured by a 10.5 percent rise in international cargo, primarily due to the new Sundt Atlanta Skybridge freighter service between Oslo and North America.
During the first two months of this year, the airport has handled a total of 12,315 tonnes of cargo and mail, still 4.5 percent down on last year.
