Mar 19, 2010 (newstodate): The EU Commission has sent a reasoned opinion to the Czech Republic for failing to transpose EU's directive setting procedures for safety checks for EU and third country aircraft using its airports.
The directive establishes EU wide safety standards covering aircraft inspections, possible measures for unsafe aircraft including grounding of aircraft, and standards for the training and qualification of inspectors.
The Czech Republic now has two months to comply with the request.
