Mar 19, 2010 (newstodate): Estonian Air is strengthening its Russian services from April 8, 2010.
The carrier will add a fourth weekly flight on the route between Tallinn and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport as part of its strategic objective to develop its network with connections to the most important cities in its neighboring markets.
Estonian Air considers Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport as an important hub for onward traveling into CIS countries in cooperation with its partner airline, Aeroflot.
Its main competitor is thus Latvia's airBaltic that has successfully moved much traffic between Estonia and destinations in Russia/CIS via its hub at Riga Airport.
